This program covers a grange of areas from using equipment such as chainsaws, to safely using chemicals and adopting practices around machinery movement on and off properties to reduce the risk of spreading weeds, pests and diseases and meet the Biosecurity Act requirements.
These accredited units of competency will provide you with the skills and knowledge to:
- Ensure the safe process of inspecting and cleaning machinery
- safely apply, store and handle chemicals
- perform chainsaw operations and maintenance, including felling small trees in a safe and effective manner
This five day workshop is fully funded under the Rural Support Training program – eligibility criteria applies. Applications required by 24th of April.
