Soil Solutions Workshop – Georgetown
The RCS Soil Solutions Workshop is a one-day in person course aimed at supporting producers increase the overall health, productivity and value of their land. The course focuses on exploring how soil biology and nutrients are managed to improve the health of land and profitability of businesses.
The course comes to you subsidised by Gulf Savannah NRM through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
Topics include:
✔ Sequestering carbon in your soil
✔ The importance of soil biology and its role in sequestration
✔ The Biologically Enhanced Agricultural Management (BEAM) Approach and its benefits
✔ Ecological indicators and the 6 regenerative soil and plant health principles
✔ Increasing ground cover to reduce erosion
✔ Sustainable farm practices
✔ Trading soil carbon
✔ Reduce inputs
