Working with dung beetles to improve pasture productivity and sustainability.

Featuring guest speaker Bernard Doube, Dung Beetle Solutions Australia.

Topics to be covered include:

  • The role of dung beetles in improving soil health, recycling nutrients, increased pasture production, control of gut parasites, bush and buffalo flies
  • Local and introduced dung beetles
  • Dung beetle identification and life cycle.

You are welcome to bring along any dung beetles from home for identification.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a short paddock visit after lunch.

Cost: $10 per person. Morning tea and lunch are provided so bookings are essential.
