Future proofing your family grazing business
Part 2: Communication considerations for family businesses
Calling all family grazing businesses! The Future Proofing Your Family Grazing Business workshop series is returning for its second session. Part 1 brought together graziers from across the region to help them prepare their family business for future changes and challenges. Among those in attendance was Anita McNamara of Abbotsford Pastoral Co., who joined with her family to work on their succession planning.
Anita shared her reasons for attending:
“I wanted to refresh on what I had learned from a previous Business Edge course and apply those lessons to our current business environment. Having the three of us in the room today allowed us to put all our ideas on paper and start building a clear 5-year plan.”
“It was a great opportunity to focus on our business as a family, and I know part 2 will be incredibly valuable. Having previously worked with Jill Rigney, I am looking forward to learning practical strategies on effective communication to drive our succession planning forward.”
Come along to session 2 and find out:
- How to separate business and family
- Understanding family dynamics
- How to run family meetings
- Tips to be a more effective communicator
