Millie completed a Master of Agricultural Science in 2021, where she ran a research project on the effect of biosolids application on soil carbon sequestration at the University of Queensland. Before that she studied marine science at James Cook University, Townsville where her interests lay in commercial aquaculture and natural resource management. A multitude of work placements across turtle husbandry centres, aquaculture businesses and NRM groups developed her interest in production landscapes.
