My name is Roxanne Morgan & I am excited to be a member of the Beef Extension Team based in Mackay. I love cows & I love eating steak!

I grew up on a beef cattle property near Middlemount, CQ, then moved to Brisbane to complete a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at UQ (before it relocated to Gatton).

I live on a small grazing & hay property just south of Mackay with my husband and two school age boys.

I am passionate about producing beef in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner. Happy cows reflect a healthy environment and positively contribute to the eating quality of the meat they produce. I am keen to share the practical & technical knowledge I have learned with other producers.

I am particularly interested in assisting with herd recording and data collection, and finding out more about the incidence and impact of BVD (Bovine Viral Diarrhoea; Pestivirus) in beef herds.
