Tim grew up in the NT and gained experience on a number of cattle properties in the NT and Queensland before getting a job with the Queensland DPI at Swans Lagoon (Beef Cattle Research station) after graduating with a Rural Science degree from the University of New England. He has worked for the Northern Territory Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade for the past 15 years and currently oversees the department’s beef research program. Tim completed a Masters degree on heifer fertility in 2011. He is a member of the North Australian Beef Research Council (NABRC) and is interested in most areas of beef research. Recent areas that he has specialised in are; heifer fertility, genetics, crossbreeding, phosphorus nutrition, and cell grazing.
