Having recently relocated from New Zealand to Charters Towers, I am excited to begin my role as a Senior Extension Officer in Carbon with DPI. I hold a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, along with certifications in integrated farm planning and sustainable nutrient management. With extensive experience as an Environmental Management Planner, I specialise in farm management systems, environmental risk assessments, and sustainable agriculture.
Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience across a wide range of farming systems, including sheep dairying, deer velveting, sheep stud breeding, beef and sheep stations, and conventional dairying.
This has taken me to diverse settings, such as rolling sheep and beef country, organic dairying operations, coastal farms, and alpine mountain regions. These experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of both organic and conventional farming practices.
My primary focus has been guiding landowners through government regulations, conducting environmental risk assessments, and developing actionable plans to ensure compliance and capture market opportunities.
