$avannaPlan-Beef$ense

A joint initiative of Northern Gulf Resource Management Group, Southern Gulf Catchments and the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries FutureBeef team

“Future viability depends on better herd, land and business management today”

$avananPlan-Beef$ense has been developed to help northern and southern Gulf cattle producers tackle their current financial challenges. The program enables beef producers to identify and implement specific financial and business management strategies. These strategies could include increasing turnover, improving gross margins, reducing overheads, reducing direct costs, reducing debt and improving loan servicing ability.

$avananPlan-Beef$ense is an integrated, on-property service to identify and overcome key financial, herd and grazing management constraints.

The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries FutureBeef team and a North Queensland agribusiness consultant provide a one-on-one mentoring service for producers. The $avannaPlan-Beef$ense team understands all aspects of running a profitable beef business including herd productivity, stocking rates, record keeping, business analysis and cash flow budgeting, debt management and marketing.

We work with producers to help them better understand the financial and economic aspects of their business, gauge the implications of making significant changes to their production systems, and move towards securing a better future.

The delivery team has real industry knowledge and a genuine interest in the industry and the well-being of the people in it. Attuned to the sensitivities of people’s lives and businesses, we use a service agreement that thoroughly explains our services and appropriately covers producer confidentiality.

Our focus is to work with the cattle producer on the issues that will improve the viability of that particular business.

Our aim is to nurture and grow Northern Gulf cattle businesses so that they reach their viable and sustainable capacities.
