Cattle Australia invite you to attend their first Industry Update and Breed Information Nucleus field day, 26 February at Warraka Station, Wandoan.

Attendees will hear from:

  • Trent Radel, Cattle Australia representative
  • Dr David Johnston, AGBU, as he discusses genomic selection, how its worked for Brahman, Droughtmaster and Santa Gertrudis, and improving the accuracy of selection for your breeding objectives
  • Dr Kirsty Moore, AGBU, as she shares information about new traits being measured
  • Paul Williams, ABBA, when he explains trait variations within breeds
  • Dr Chris Parker, Cattle Australia CEO.

After lunch, Dr David Johnston will lead a session inspecting the results of the repronomics-bred steers and key results from Brian Pastures and Spyglass research facilities.

The event will conclude with a panel discussion and drinks.
