Financial Skills Workshop – Roma

The Financial Skills workshops were born in support of long-term industry capacity and agricultural education to attract and retain next generation in the industry as well as supporting the knowledge of producers and farmers. Rabobank has the goal of sharing knowledge through the Financial Skills workshops with 5,000 participants across Australia and New Zealand by 2025.

These complimentary workshops are a collaboration between Rabobank and the Rabo Client Councils with their content and facilitation partner, Hudson Facilitation.

MODULE ONE (M1) CONTENT

Module One is an introductory interactive workshop involving practical hands-on skills in understanding financial statements and banking requirements.

Financial reports are one of the most useful and least used reports for many farming businesses. Module One will help you gain an understanding of how to read and interpret these reports and what they can tell you about your business. Your bank is a key stakeholder in your business. This workshop will explore how banks can assess you and your business along with sharing a number of tips to help make this important relationship as beneficial as possible.

MODULE TWO (M2) CONTENT

Module Two is part of a series of skills development workshops. The workshop will provide you with hands on skills to better understand Gross Margins and how to create your own cash flow budget.

Gross Margin analysis is a critical step in farm planning and decision making. In this module, we take an enterprise focused approach separately considering grains and livestock enterprises.

The module will also focus on preparing annual cash flow budgets which can be used to track cash flow in and out of the business.

Any financial or tax related information provided in these workshops is general in nature and does not take into account your personal objectives, financial situation or needs. We recommend that you seek independent advice from your accountant or financial advisor before making any financial decisions.
