The Northern Australia Climate Program invites you to Forecasting for decision making workshop at Longreach, 2 June.

 

Key learnings will include:

  • What drives rainfall and temperature in my region?
  • What does El Nino really mean? How does it impact my region?
  • Does BoM get it wrong? How to interpret forecasts and seasonal outlooks
  • Forecasting tools for decision making: what’s out there, when to use and how toutilise them to help maximise profitability and resilience in challenging seasons
  • Q & A Session facilitated by SQNNSW Drought Hub’s Ally Murray

The presenters at your workshop will be Dr Tim Cowan, UniSQ Senior Research Fellow embedded within the Seasonal Climate Processes team at the Bureau of Meteorology, and Vicki Mayne, beef producer and Climate Mate with UniSQ’s Northern Australia Climate Program.
