NT Farmers invite you to attend the Food Futures Roadshow in Katherine from 8-10 September.

Roadshow events feature a wide range of subjects including, innovation in the industry, new cropping opportunities and cotton development in the region.

Roadshow Highlights

Tuesday 8 September

Welcome networking function from 5.30 pm at Godinymayin Yijard rivers Arts & Culture Centre – Katherine

Wednesday 9 September

Morning: Half-day farming Development Seminars at Katherine Research Station, topics include:

Water, non-pastoral use and clearing permits
Water opportunities and outlook
Land Corp land releases
Regional economic recovery
Horticultural developments in the region.

Afternoon: Bus tour of Katherine Farming operations followed by an evening BBQ.

Thursday, 10 September

in depth workshops and farmer panels on:

Pathway to freehold from leasehold
Industry panels, Rabobank Update
Diversification options
Drought, climate adaptability and government support
Government policy and research
