NT Farmers invite you to attend the Food Futures Roadshow in Katherine from 8-10 September.
Roadshow events feature a wide range of subjects including, innovation in the industry, new cropping opportunities and cotton development in the region.
Roadshow Highlights
Tuesday 8 September
Welcome networking function from 5.30 pm at Godinymayin Yijard rivers Arts & Culture Centre – Katherine
Wednesday 9 September
Morning: Half-day farming Development Seminars at Katherine Research Station, topics include:
- Water, non-pastoral use and clearing permits
- Water opportunities and outlook
- Land Corp land releases
- Regional economic recovery
- Horticultural developments in the region.
Afternoon: Bus tour of Katherine Farming operations followed by an evening BBQ.
Thursday, 10 September
in depth workshops and farmer panels on:
- Pathway to freehold from leasehold
- Industry panels, Rabobank Update
- Diversification options
- Drought, climate adaptability and government support
- Government policy and research
