FutureBeef podcast, episode 11: Can you manage for climate variability? Yes, you can!

The Farm Business Resilience Program helps farmers and graziers build a sustainable business by planning today for tomorrow’s drought and climate risks.

On Queensland’s far northern coast, climate variability may look a little different than say, a drought at Bedourie, but its impact on business is arguably the same.

Jason Burzacott and his family have been working on their farm business resilience plan for the last few years, and its made a huge impact on not just their grazing and business management, but their community development as well.

Futurebeef is a collaborative project for the northern Australia beef industry and partners include the Queensland Department of Primary Industries, the Northern Territory Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development Western Australia and Meat & Livestock Australia.

The Queensland Pasture Resilience Program is a partnership between the Department of Primary Industries, Meat & Livestock Australia, and the Australian Government through the MLA Donor Company.
